This test is a measurement of two important forms of estrogen: 2-OHE1 and 16-a-OHE1. The ratio of these two estrogens can be determined from a single urine specimen.
Studies have shown that women with low Estronex 2/16 ratios have much higher rates of breast cancer. (See “Documents/Articles” under the “Education” tab for information on the 2/16 ratio.)
